Modi is like a brother and a mentor to me: Bhutan Prime Minister.
Bhutan Prime Minister Shering Tobgay, during his participation in the School of Ultimate Leadership Conclave in Delhi, praised Indian Prime Minister Modi as a mentor and brother. He highlighted the strong spiritual bond between India and Bhutan and praised Modi’s leadership in transforming India. Tobgay also expressed his desire for Modi's guidance in Bhutan's public service transformation and invited Indians to visit Bhutan's Gelafu Mindfulness City project.

New Delhi: The Prime Minister of Bhutan, Shering Tobgay, participated in the School of Ultimate Leadership Conclave held in Delhi. During his address, he highlighted the strong spiritual bond between India and Bhutan. He described Indian Prime Minister Modi as both a brother and a mentor. He praised Modi for leading India on the path of progress in just ten years through his intelligence, courage, and compassion.
Under Modi's leadership, India is transforming into a developed nation. Programs like Make in India, Digital India, and Swachh Bharat are gifts Modi has given to India. Tobgay emphasized that leadership is not about titles and positions but about vision, courage, and the ability to inspire change. He stated that without a doubt, he considers Modi as a brother who always stands behind him, guiding him. He also pointed out that under Modi’s leadership, a large number of people in India have been lifted out of poverty, and India’s economy has reached great heights.
Tobgay mentioned that Bhutan has received strong support and generosity from the Indian people. He explained that leadership means transformation and guiding society towards a happy, prosperous, and peaceful future. He invited Indian people to visit Bhutan’s Gelafu Mindfulness City project. He expressed his desire for Prime Minister Modi's personal guidance in the transformation of public service in Bhutan. He concluded his speech with a "Jai Hind." After Tobgay’s speech, Prime Minister Modi warmly embraced him and later referred to him as his brother.
