Amaravati: The AP Assembly budget sessions are set to begin on Monday. Preparations are underway to hold the Assembly sessions for presenting the 2025-26 budget. AP Governor Abdul Nazeer will address both Houses at 10 AM tomorrow. Following that, a BACC meeting will take place, where discussions will be held to decide the number of days the sessions will continue. The government will express gratitude for the Governor's address on the 25th.

From tomorrow, the AP Assembly budget will be presented for approval, followed by a two-day break. The government has decided to present the budget on February 28th, considering Shivaratri on the 26th and the MLC elections on the 27th. On the 28th, the AP Cabinet will meet at 9 AM to approve the budget. Later that day, Finance Minister P. Ayya Vula Keshav will present the budget in the Assembly. The AP government will outline its priorities during the session.

On security and law and order, Speaker S. Ayanna Patra will hold a review meeting with all departmental officials tomorrow. The meeting will cover the security arrangements for the Assembly sessions, including discussions with the DGP and other police officials. The Speaker will also review security measures for both Assembly members and public safety outside the Assembly during the sessions. Additionally, the Speaker will oversee security plans for the Governor’s arrival at the Assembly and his return to Raj Bhavan.
